We worship on Sundays at 1200 Ramsdell Road in Traverse City.
8:30 am weekly communion service. This is usually a small group, and the service is about half an hour long, including two songs, a short message from the pastor, and communion. Everyone is welcome to take part in everything.
9:30 am is our most traditional service. The pastor usually wears a robe. The choir sings an anthem (during the school year). We sing hymns out of the hymnal, with accompaniment from the organ. There's always a sermon. On the first Sunday of every month, we have communion. Everyone is welcome.
11:00 am is a little louder. The band (guitar, drums, and piano) leads music. We do some old hymns, and more newer Christian songs. The words are projected on the front wall. There's always a spoken message, generally from the pastor. On the first Sunday of every month, we have communion. Everyone is invited to take part in the whole worship including communion.
Sunday School for all ages is 9:30 am. At 11:00 we also have a junior church time for younger elementary children, following the children's time in worship; also at 11:00 are more adult classes.
Christmas Eve schedule
We don't have worship on Christmas Day (December 25), but we do have three worship times the evening before. We've changed some things from the last few years, to make our schedule a little more family-friendly.
5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. are similar services: Carols and Candles, with a message from the Pastor, songs by the choir and chimes (7:00), and traditional music.
11:00 p.m. is a little quieter service, where we will have communion as well as the message and carols and candlelighting. Worshiping at midnight to welcome the Christ child is an ancient tradition. Experience it.
The main office at 1200 Ramsdell Road is normally open 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
