Jeremy has been pastor here since July 2002.  His wife Tamara is a pastor at the Central United Methodist Church in Traverse City, and their son Caleb is a music student at Western Michigan University, and music director at a United Methodist congregation in Grand Rapids.

Jeremy preaches in an informal, direct and down-to-earth style, without using the pulpit.   He believes that the leadership and ministry of the church belong to all the people, not just to the professionals.

Jeremy has a B.A. in Religion from the University of Iowa, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Church History from Notre Dame.
