Nursery   Sunday School    Junior Church

Nursery

Nursery care for babies and small children is provided during both worship services.  Our professional staff are accompanied by screened volunteers every week.  We want you to feel confident about leaving your child in their care, so you can participate in the life of the church.

We now have two nurseries: the infant nursery for those through 18 months, and the toddler nursery through age four.  We’re making a big commitment to children and their families, and working to maintain the best possible standards of childcare at Traverse Bay.

Both nurseries are straight down a short hallway from worship and adult Sunday School nurseries (infants on the left; toddlers on the right).

Junior Church

Junior church is a chance for your kids to experience a little bit of our regular 11:00 worship, and then go to their own age-specific activities.

Children who are not yet old enough to enjoy the whole worship service (pre-school through second grade), have an important place at Traverse Bay.  During 11:00 worship, they are invited to the front of the church, where one of the pastors has a message for them.  After that, they're encouraged to go to Junior Church.  There they'll have crafts, sing, and make music.

Vacation Bible School

Every year it’s bigger!  It’s absolutely free to children younger than sixth grade.    Invite all the neighbors!

Harvest Festival

Now that we’re holding this Halloween event at the Emmanuel Center, in the middle of the Central neighborhood, kids are coming out of the woodwork.  Once again this year, we had well over three hundred children come and take part, with games and a maze, and plenty of opportunities to win candy and other treats.  We also had hot dogs and hot drinks for the adults, and s’mores out by the street,
